DAILY SCHEDULE

A typical day at Aspen Park Montessori will look as follows:

7:00 - 8:30 AM - Before Zone

 

  • Music Time

  • Play with age appropriate toys & iSTEM kits

  • Dramatic Play

  • Sand/Playdough table

 

8:15 - 9:00 AM - ½ Day A.M. & All-Day Arrival Time

 

  • Parents Sign In

  • Children hang coats and put on slippers

  • Children put away lunch

  • Children go to the bathroom/wash hands

 

8:30 - 9:00 AM - Line Time (Whole Group) (Immersed Spanish)

 

  • Activities on line (walk, run, skip, crawl, balance, hop)

  • Music Time-Play instruments, Dance

  • Calendar- Review

    • Days of the week song

    • Calendar pattern

    • What day of the week

    • Weather observation

    • Weather graph

  • Sing

  • Story

  • Whole Group Lesson – Culture, Science, Instruction on new activities

  • Making Silence

 

9:30 - 10:30 AM - Montessori Work Cycle

 

  • Language

  • Math

  • Sensorial

  • Science

  • Practical Life

  • Culture

  • Gross Motor

  • Art/Music

  • When music starts, children clean-up their activities

 

9:00 - 10:20 AM - Snack When Child is hungry self-served

 

  • Children wash hands

  • Children serve themselves snack

  • Children follow the snack quantity chart

  • Children wash dishes, clean eating area

 

10:30 - 10:50 AM - Line Time (Whole Group) (Immersed Spanish)

 

  • Activities on line (walk, run, skip, crawl, balance, hop)

  • Music Time-Play instruments, Dance

  • Calendar- /Review

    • Days of the week song

    • Calendar pattern

    • What day of the week

    • Weather observation

    • Weather graph

  • Sing

  • Story

  • Whole Group Lesson – Culture, Science, Instruction on new activities

10:50 - 11:00 AM

 

  • Bathroom

  • Hand Washing

 

11:00 - 11:30 AM - Recess

  • Outside Recess (weather permitting)

  • Hand Washing at 11:30

 

11:30 AM - ½ Day AM Students Leave

 

  • Parents Sign Out

  • Children put coats and shoes on

  • Children get work out of cubbies

 

11:30 - 12:00 P.M. - Lunch (Immersed Spanish)

 

  • Get Lunch out of fridge

  • Eat Lunch

  • Discussion of events/ lessons in Spanish and English

  • Clean up area (wash hands, dishes, sweep floor)

 

12:00 - 12:25 PM - Recess

 

  • Outside Recess (weather permitting)

 

12:30 PM - ½ Day Afternoon Students Arrival Time

 

  • Parents Sign In

  • Children hang coats and put on slippers

  • Children go to the bathroom

  • Children wash hands

 

12:30 PM - Nappers

 

  • Read 2 books

  • Play quiet music

  • Children nap until they wake up

  • Once they wake up they come downstairs and join the work cycle

 

12:30 - 2:30 PM - Montessori Work Cycle (Immersed Spanish)

 

  • Language

  • Math

  • Sensorial

  • Science

  • Practical Life

  • Culture

  • Gross Motor

  • Art/Music

 

1:00 - 2:20 PM - Snack- When Child is hungry self-served

 

  • Children wash hands

  • Children serve themselves snack

2:25 PM - Clean Up

 

  • When music starts children clean-up activities

 

2:30 - 2:55 PM - Line Time (Whole Group) (Immersed Spanish)

  • Music Time-Play instruments, Dance

  • Calendar- Review

2:55 - 3:00 PM

 

  • Bathroom

  • Hand Washing

 

3:00 - 3:30 PM - Recess

 

  • Outside Recess (weather permitting)

 

3:30 PM - Dismissal

 

  • Parents Sign Out

  • Children put coats and shoes on

  • Children get work out of cubbies

 

3:30 - 5:30 PM - After Zone

 

  • Music/Creative Time – Kinetic Sand, Playdough, Art, /Dramatic Play

  • Play with age appropriate toys/ iSTEM kits

  • Play with age appropriate 3D printers (When children are maturely ready)

  • Play with age appropriate Drones (When children are maturely ready)
