Aspen Park Montessori recently opened its door in January of 2019. We have acquired the same building from the previous Montessori of Conifer, to which we have no affiliation.  Aspen Park Montessori is under new ownership and management, and follows the core values and principles established by its Director, Santiago Grado.  Santiago is a firm believer that every child is unique and full of potential, and it is the educators role to help find the best way to unlock that potential.

Working in the education sector as a teacher and principle for over 28 years, Santiago Grado saw the positives and short comings of the public education system.  Realizing that every child is unique in the way they interpret and process information, the way they learn, Santiago wanted to pursue an education style that would empower students and allow them to thrive under the right set of conditions.  With a strong passion and desire to make a difference in the lives of children, to help the youth realize their potentials and be champions of their learning, Santiago opened Aspen Park Montessori, School of Innovative Technologies and World Languages.

Aspen Park Montessori Guiding Principles

The curriculum is Montessori, but utilizes and implements Developmental Practices, Personalized Leaning, Project Base Learning, Backward Design, as well as core standards. In addition, iSTEM is integrated as blended learning.

Content knowledge, ceases to be the primary basis of learning. It becomes a component of higher levels of critical thinking such as inquiry, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and creation.

Student buy-in and ownership is of prime importance. All teaching strategies shift to facilitation.

Fostering a strong, caring relationship that encourages collaboration among staff, students and parents.

A culture that embraces out-of-the-box thinking while supporting the learning process through our failures and successes.

By utilizing Montessori and Project-based (iSTEM) learning, students are motivated to utilize the various levels of critical thinking and establishing a creative sense to problem solve and construct their own solutions.

In learning a world language, students are connected to the outside world where they learn culture and communication skills.

Innovative Technology is readily available and easy to access. All computers will be utilized everyday to increase student motivation and academic understanding.

How We Work

With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities.

When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave Aspen Park Montessori, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
